- This is a combined synopsis/solicition for commercial items and services prepared in accordance with the format included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicition; proposals are being requested using simplified acquisition procedures, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 5047 and the related size standard is 100 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina has a need for Dye Injectors. The following is a list of features/capabilities that the Dye Injectors "must have". Must have features for the CT dye injector: 1. Ability for manual flow adjustment while injecting. 2. Programable pressure limits in 10 PSI increments or less. 3. Keep vein open function. 4. Must be mountable on same type of ceiling uni-strut support as that used to mount Medrad model Mark 4 or Envision contrast dye injectors. 5. Must have PSI selected read out. 6. Ability to be operated with remote starting cord. 7. Syringe sensing function. 8. Adaptable/compatible to injection sequences of GE model QXi C-T Scanner. 9. Capable of being used interchangeably with 125 or 200 ml syringes without modification. 10. Capable of being used with operator-loaded syringes, not just pre-loaded syringes. ll. Capable of being used with genric tubing sets. 12. Vendor must be willing to accept and give value for trade-in of Medrad model Mark 4 C-T injector. The following are must have features of the MR contrast dye injector: 1. Capable of being operated from control room via an optical or other wireless connection system (no hard wire connections). 2. Scan Delay and Inject Delay copabilities. 3. Memory of 10 protocols or better. 4. Able to utilize Flex Shaft to operate injector head. 5. Keep Vein Open (KVO) feature. 6. Mobile/cart mountd. The following are must have features for the Angio contrast dye injector: 1. Mechanical volume inject stop feature that can be set and not overridden except by manual release. (no electronic override). 2. Minumum of 30 protocols memory 3. Must have automatic "scout injection" capability. 4. Configurable for different volume syringes. 5. Insufficient volume override capability. 6. Vendor must be willing to accept trade-in and give value of Medrad model Mark 4 dye injector. Quoted price on all Dye Injectors must include installation, operator training and a minimum of one-year parts and labor warranty with extended warranty available.
