Description

Thermal Identification Friend/Foe (TIFF) Far Infrared Pulsed Source. The Government has a requirement for two configurations of the TIFF Far Infrared pulsed source for identification friend/foe applications including the 360 degree version and the Handheld version. The 360-degree version shall be designed IAW Drawing TIFF-805-001 and -002, and shall house 3 lithium DL123 3 volt batteries. The Handheld version shall be designed IAW Drawing TIFF 805-001, and shall be attached to the Surefire Model L90 flashlight body via replacement of the L90 flashlight/lamp assembly. A detailed performance specification will be available with the solicitation. Evaluation criteria shall minimally consist of technical, past performance, price and subcontracting. This acquisition will be processed on the basis of "best value." The solicitation will result in a fixed-price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a duration of five years. The Government will procure a minimum of 100 systems in the TIFF -360 configuration and 100 systems in the TIFF-Handheld configuration , with a potential maximum of 1000 units per configuration. Delivery of the first systems shall be required within 90 days from receipt of order eventually ramping to delivering 200 systems per month. Delivery shall be FOB destination with inspection and acceptance at NSWC Crane. The solicitation will be provided electronically by accessing Crane's world wide web location at www.crane.navy.mil.
