Description

The contractor shall provide all tools, labor, materials, permits, license and supervision to "Replace Roofs, Phase 1" for Building 5 and Building 6 in accordance with the drawings and specifications for Project 544-00-120, located at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC. Work to include the installation of new roof decking and roofing systems, insulation and flashings, sealing of parapets and penetrations, reinstallation and reconnection of existing roof top mechanical units and associated electrical work, installation of new millwork and finished carpentry to replace decorative wood trim, and the clearing of existing downspouts and underground storm water lines, and the reinstallation of existing rooftop accessories including lightning protection. Other work is to include removal and reinstallation of roof top mechanical units and accessories as required; removal and disposal of all existing roofing materials including the abatement of suspected asbestos materials; and other demolition as scheduld or required for completion of the work. Estimated dollar value of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Estimated solicitation issue date is October 18, 2000. Estimated bid opening date is November 30, 2000. Drawings and specifications will be available on or about October 18, 2000 at a cost of $30.00 per set (non-refundable). Request must be in writing, stating complete company name and address, tax identification number, contact name and telephone number and accompanied by cashier's check, money order, or certified check only.
