- 4th Annual US Army Corps of Engineers Small Business Conference The US Army Corps of Engineers Small Business Office is inviting you to attend their 4th Annual Small Business Conference, November 13-14, 2000 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, Virginia. All small business are encouraged to attend. US Army Corps of Engineers is the Nation's premier engineering organization, providing comprehensive engineering, management and technical support to the DoD, other agencies and state and local governments. Small Business plays an essential role in assisting the Crops in accomplishing its mission. Last year the US Army Corps of Engineers awarded over $2 billion in direct costs to small business. The format of this year's conference begins at one o'clock on Monday, November 13, 2000 with a general session and concluding with an evening reception. Tuesday, November 14, 2000 will be devoted to an all day Business Opportunities Fair, concurrent breakout sessions addressing topics such as A-E Contracts, Working with SBA, Contracting Essentials, Information Technology, Construction Opportunities and a luncheon with a keynote speaker. This 4th Annual premier conference brings together small business leaders and key USACE decision makers, from top level to commanders, in the field where acquisitions are conducted. It provides a forum for direct exchange of information and ideas between senior USACE officials and small business leaders. The Business Opportunities Fair, which is a very significant and unique feature of the conference, will outline future business opportunities available in buying commands. All Division and District Commanders will be available at counseling tables in one room to address your individual questions and concerns. Target Audience: CEOs and senior executives of small business, small disadvantaged business and women-owned small business firms.
