Description
The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command proposes to acquire, on a sole source basis from McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems (MDHS), 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, Arizona 85215-9797, AH-64A Apache Integrated Training Device Maintenance and Field Support. The scope of this delivery order requires the contractor to furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools and special test equipment to maintain, repair and support AH-64A Apache training devices located at Ft. Rucker, Alabama and Ft. Eustis, Virginia. The Government intends to award a delivery order against Basic Ordering Agreement DAAH23-98-G-0049 to MDHS, the designer, developer and manufacturer of the AH-64A Apache helicopter under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." There is not a technical data package and no solicitation will be issued. The period of performance is 12 months after receipt of order. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the contracting officer. See Numbered Note 22.
