Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and therefore, a formal written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The Television-Audio Support Activity intends to purchase the following, on a sole source basis, from Tektronix Inc.: 1. Seven each Turbo Upgrade Modules for conversion of Tektronix model VM700A Video Measurement Test Set to model VM700T. Upgrade done at Tektronix factory. 2. Seven each Serial Digital Interface Upgrade Modules for conversion of Tektronix model VM700A Video Measurement Test Set to model VM700T. Installation can be performed at Government site by authorized Tektronix representative. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice should be provided in writing by 18 Oct 00, 1400 PST. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this quotation, Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, and 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The evaluation criteria for this solicitation will consist of price, technical capability of the item offered to meet the agency need, and past performance. Technical capability and past performance together are equal to price. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. The following clauses also apply: 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, Applicable sub-clauses under 52.212-5 are: 52.203-6, 52.219-8, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 52.232-33. 52.233-4001, Agency Protests, and the following DFARS clauses apply to this acquisition: DFARS 252.204-7004, 252.212-7000, and the following sub-clauses under FAR 252-212-7001 also apply: 252.225-7007, and 252.225-7036.
