Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is a Request of Quote (RFQ) for cut lumber and hardware to be delivered to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve (JELA), Barataria Unit, 6588 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, LA., 70072. This synopsis/solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for these items is 2499, Wood Products, N.E.C. with a small business size standard of less than 500 employees. The following FAR Clauses and Provisions apply to this acquisition, 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. For 52.212-5, only the following apply; Paragraph (a), Paragraph (b) #16, (b) #17, (b) #23. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with their quotation. These provisions may be viewed and copied for reprint by way of word-processing software at the following websites. http://farsite.hill.af.mil or http://www.arnet.gov/far Payment of any resulting contract shall be made by way of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Should an award result from this solicitation, the contractor shall be required to provide applicable information for processing of payments. Offerors should quote on the following line items. Treated Lumber: All material shall be Pressure Treated #2 Pine, 0.80 CCA treatment minimum. Line Item 001: 2" x 6" x 6' (800 ea.). Line Item 002: 2" x 10" x 12' with one 10" face S3S treated (1,000 ea.). Line Item 003: 8" x 8" x 16' (110 ea.). Line Item 004: 2" x 8" x 12' (15 ea.). Hardware: Line Item 005: 16D Galvanized Ring Shank Nail in 50 pound box container, (5 boxes). Offerors shall indicate a unit price for each line item along with an extended price. Total price quoted shall be FOB destination. All materials shall be banded for forklift movement in bundles not to exceed 1000 pounds each bundle. Contractor shall provide labor or equipment at point of delivery for unloading of materials. Delivery shall be in three separate shipments. Delivery One, approximately 14 days after receipt of order shall include; 2" x 6" x 6' (800 ea.), 2" x 10" x 12' S3S (100 ea.), 8" x 8" x 16' (20 ea.), 2" x 8" x 12' (15 ea.), 50lb 16D Galv Nails (2 boxes). Delivery Two, approximately 45 days after receipt of order shall include; 2" x 10" x 12' S3S (450 ea.), 8" x 8" x 16' (50 ea.) 50lb 16D Galv Nails (2 boxes). Delivery Three, approximately 75 days after receipt of order shall include; 2" x 10" x 12' S3S (450 ea.), 8" x 8" x 16' (40 ea.), 50lb 16D Galv Nails (1 box). Quotes shall be mailed to JELA -- National Park Service, Attn: Randy Marchiafava, 365 Canal St., Suite 2400, New Orleans, LA., 70130-1142. Because you Representation & Certification must also be included with your quote no faxed quotes will be accepted. Your quote, referencing solicitation number Q7530-00-0001, should be delivered by close of business, 4:30 P.M. (CST), not later than October 17, 2000.
