Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR UPGRADE OF TPS-43F RADAR SYSTEMS TO TPS-75V MODEL RADAR SYSTEMS This is a Sources Sought Synopsis to help the Government determine market interest and business capability for the acquisition described below. OO-ALC, Hill Air Force Base, UT intends to award a contract to upgrade 4 ea. (four each) existing TPS-43F Taiwan Air Force (TAF) radar systems to TPS-75V models. Contract will include provision of radar systems logistical support items and services including communications equipment, spare parts, test equipment, technical manuals, training, and extended and/or standard warranty. Sources are being sought for potential offerors who have the knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, and facilities to successfully upgrade the existing radar systems. Potential offerors will have existing capability to perform radar systems site surveys, design, manufacturing, production, testing, integration, installation, and onsite technical support. The Government does not have a technical data package available to support these radar system upgrades. The USAF will acquire the radar system upgrades and logistical support items and services for the TAF with potential offeror meeting critical TAF projected delivery schedule. The TAF schedule calls for successful completion of radar system upgrades and delivery of all logistical support items and services by third quarter 2003. Potential offerors are requested to provide a summary (including company brochures) of the capabilities they have which will allow them to accomplish this program. The government does not intend to contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to compete this acquisition. Interested parties are requested to submit three copies of the aforementioned summary of capabilities to Mark L. Strawn, OO-ALC/LHKC, 6039 Wardleigh Rd/ Bldg 1206, Hill AFB, UT 84056-5838 no later than 10 working days after publication of this notice.
