Description

GSA is announcing its intent to issue a procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The contract will be a time and material effort to provide information technology support for antiquated, obsolete and outdated equipment throughout the Air Mobility Command. Services include technical program and system management expertise to integrate command and control systems into the base command and control infrastructure supporting the engineering and installation telephone/switch/cable programs that have been fielded. Use of CLR Group, Ltd, a veteran owned small business, has been determined essential to the Government's requirements, due to their extensive Communications Systems Program Office (CSPO) expertise. No other service provider is capable of immediately providing comparable technical and engineering expertise to meet the service requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation, reference Number 5TS5700C220. NAICS Code 541330, Other Specialized Design Services, applies. Size standard is $5.0 million. This requirement is for a senior systems engineer. Period of performance is anticipated to be October 2000 through September 2001. FAR 52.252-2 applies to this acquisition.
