Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport intends to acquire from Sheldahl, Inc., on a sole source basis: Ten (10) each Capsule Launching System (CLS) Low Permeance Barriers in accordance with JCM Drawing #16623. There are two (2) options to this acquisition, each option is for an additional five (5) each Low Permeance Barriers. This is a sole source acquisition as authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source. Sheldahl, Inc. is the only company qualified to provide this item. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized for this acquisition. Delivery will be F.O.B. destination, Newport, Rhode Island approximately 3 months after contract award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the government. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NAICS Code is 336419, standard size is 1,000 employees. A solicitation will be issued on October 12, 2000. Anticipated award date is November 15, 2000.
