Description

This project is an Request for Proposals (RFP), which includes the reconstruction of the Lower Group Site of the Windy Point Group Campground site. Major items of work include clearing and grubbing, removal of obstructions, excavation and embankment, aggregate base course, concrete, picnic shelter, 4-unit evaporative comfort station, greywater waste system, potable water system, and well abandonment. The project is located on the White River National Forest, Summit County, Colorado. To reach the project site, leave I-70 at Silverthorne and travel south approximately 6 miles along US Highway 6 to the intersection with the Swan Mt. Road. Turn right and travel approximately 3 miles along the Swan Mt. Road to the entrance to Prospector and Windy Point Group area. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The contract period is 150 calendar days. This will be a firm, fixed-price contract. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The tentative due date for receipt of proposals is November 20, 2000, at 4:30 p.m. local time. This date is subject to change.
