Description

THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED UNDER SOLICITATION 193045-98-A-0534 OR 193045-99-A-0131. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS FOR THIS PROJECT. On or about 10/10/00, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of Main Post Office at CAMERON MO 64429-9998. Proposals will be opened on 11/09/00 at 2:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. NO INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL TIME OF AWARD -- FOUR WEEKS AFTER CLOSING. Description of the work is:The project consists of construction of a new USPS Cameron Main Post Office approximately 13,000 square feet. Location of project is 112 East Grand Avenue, Cameron, MO 64429-9998. Prices/proposals will be good for 90 days. The estimated construction cost is between $1,900,000.00 and $2,200,000.00. The construction period shall be 330 calendar days from NTP -- approximately April 1, 2001 start date. Any work prior to the NTP is done at the risk of the Contractor and is not the responsibility of the USPS. The Contractor must notify BRW and the USPS of any work to be done prior to NTP. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 330 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. AFTER 10/6/00 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE ORDERED FROM KELLY BLUEPRINT. THE ORDER FORM AND COST (NON-REFUNDABLE FEE) CAN BE FOUND AT www.kellyblue.com. A PLANHOLDERS LIST IS ALSO AVAILABLE AT THE WEBSITE AND IS UPDATED DAILY.
