- Description
- This is a sources sought notice for signage maintenance vendors, and not a Request for Proposal. The U.S. Postal Service has developed a signage program over the past four (4) years. This program was established to identify and brand their Retail units along with the ongoing corporate retail identity program. Standard sign designs and sizes have been developed and are being erected across the nation at this time. The Retail signs use internally illuminated first surface decorated flexface materials. They include pylons, monuments, building stripes and identifiers. The corporate signs are internally illuminated routed aluminum signs with first surface decorated acrylic panels. The signs in the field have been in place for (4) years now. Resultant NATIONAL signage maintenance contract(s) shall include all new signs starting immediately after their one (1) year manufacturers warranty period, and shall also include existing and new signs for both the corporate and retail programs developed under the current standards. It is anticipated that resultant maintenance contract(s) shall have a period of performance of two (2) years, plus four (4) two (2)-year option periods. Signage maintenance vendors shall have at least five (5) years experience in the sign maintenance business and must be licensed to do work in all 50 states, or have the resources/network to conduct business coordination in all 50 states. Financial statements of vendors for the last three (3) years shall be reviewed, as well as, history of the company and all of their capabilities, before award will be made. Interested parties (principals only) who wish to receive the solicitation should send an email to the contracting officer. In this email, vendors should state the number of years experience in the sign maintenance business and if it is able to work in all 50 states, or have the resources/network to conduct business coordination in all 50 states. Incomplete information provided will immediately disqualify the vendor from the inclusion in the mailing list. Deadline for requests for inclusion in the mailing list shall be 10/20/00. NO TELEPHONE CALLS SHALL BE ENTERTAINED.
