This sources sought announcement is for an unfunded commercial service requirement; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement (Reference Number F26600-00-QZ080) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) subject to FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds clause, to locate small businesses to satisfy this requirement. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 97-19. This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 811310. Far 19 classifies small businesses as those that gross equal to or less than $5.0 Million annually based on the average of the offeror_s past three fiscal years . Offerors shall submit their quote according to the below mentioned CLINs. Offers are due by 2:30 P.M. (PST) on 9 Oct 00, and can be mailed or hand carried to 99 CONS/LGCB, Attn:Jeff Bishop, 5865 Swaab Blvd, Nellis AFB, NV. 89191-7063, or faxed to (702) 652-5405. No e-mailed quotes will be accepted. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to: conduct annual service inspection and preventative maintenance on all fire extinguishers at Indian Springs AFAF property inside or outside building from the period 11 Oct 00 to 10 Oct 01. As well, please provide quotations for four option years to begin and end on the same dates. Inspection and servicing of fire extinguishers will be accomplished in accordance with National Fire Code 10 and OSHA Standard. If any extinguisher needs its six-year teardown, contractor must accomplish this. Any extinguisher needing minor repair such as pressure or agent will be accomplished by contractor. Any extinguisher that is considered beyond economical repair will be turned over to Indian Springs Fire Dept. Approximate number and type of extinguishers are as follows: Three (3) 125 lb dry chemical Six Hundred (600) 5 to 20 lb dry chemical Five (5) 50lb CO2 Ten (10) miscellaneous extinguishers. Contractor is to perform annual service and maintenance inspection at various facilities on Indian Springs AFAF, Point Bravo and range 65 (mile range buildings), approximately 27 miles North of Las Vegas, NV. Request call out services on extinguishers as needed within 48 hours. A copy of the Representation and Certification documentation shall be submitted with the quote. Failure to provide any of the aforementioned items will deem Contractor ineligible for award. All contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to receive a DOD award or payment. Lack of registration in CCR will make an offeror ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration via the Internet at http://www.ccr2000.com. Internet processing takes approx. 30 days. The contractor must provide Duns number with all offers. If the Duns number is not known, call (800) 333-0505. You will be provided the number at no charge.
