Description

Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to clean headstones at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price requirements contract for a base year plus an option to extend the term of the contract each year for four (4) additional years. Method of cleaning headstones is to be in accordance with the specifications in Request For Quotation (RFQ) No. 786-89-00. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 8999 and a size standard of $5.0 million are applicable to this acquisition. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quotation. Requests for a hard copy of the solicitation must be made in writing to Diane Campbell, Contract Specialist, and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Five Dollars ($5.00) (non-refundable), payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." Please reference Solicitation Number RFQ 786-89-00 on remittance. No telephone requests will be accepted. Hard copy solicitations will be issued on or about September 27, 2000. A Electronic solicitations will be available for download from the URL address on or about September 27, 2000. Note: Attachment J-1 (Map of Arlington Cemetery) can be obtained by fax at "no charge" by sending a fax request for this document to (703) 441-4769 (Attn: Diane Campbell). Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. A pre-proposal conference will be held in the conference room located in the basement of the Visitor's Center at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA on Thursday, October 12, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. Parking will be in the parking lot to the Administration Building. A site visit will be held following the pre-proposal conference.
