Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Division intends to acquire software maintenance on a sole source basis manufactured by Aonix, 5040 Shoreham Place, San Diego, CA. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented by this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal Number is N00178-01-Q-1003. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The maintenance support shall be provided for the following items: (1) HP9000 TELEUSE/ADA, P/N AD0062TUXARE, ID No. 181694, 3 units; (2) HP9000 Compiler, P/N AD0062AWBARE, ID No. 180436, 5 units; (3) HP9000 Compiler, P/N AD0062AWBARE, ID No. 20076, 3 units; (4) HP/TELEUSE, P/N TU-HPUE-TLSI-RE, ID No. 41275, 2 each; (5) HP9000-UX Compiler, P/N AD0076AWBARE, ID 42765, 5 each; (6) HP9000-UX Compiler, P/N AD0076AWBARE, ID No. 44255; and (7) HP9000 Compiler, P/N AD0062AWBARE, ID No. 180814, 1 each. This support covers unlimited telephone support, and updates as released. All items must be Y2K compliant and proof provided in the response. The period of performance is 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. The software is located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448. The Government requires this software maintenance to support various critical TOMAHAWK and AEGIS programs. This software is proprietary to Aonix, as Aonix is the developer, designer and manufacturer of the software and is the only known source capable of providing the required maintenance. Award is being made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The offeror shall include their Cage Code Number, DUNS No, Tax Identification Number, and certification that their company is listed in the Central Contractor Registration Website. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, and 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The addendum in the resulting contract will include Y2K Compliance Provisions and the requirement for a standard commercial warranty of 1 year. 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. DFAR Clause 252.212-7001 applies. Relevant applicable clauses are available for review and may be requested from SD11 Branch, (540) 653-7478. The offeror shall submit their quotation to SD118 at fax 540-653-7088. The Government will not issue a written quote as all items are identified in this notice. All items shall be shipped FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA 22448. Closing date is 06 October 2000. Anticipated award date is 13 October 2000.
