Description

The USPS is soliciting proposals to renovate the existing Guilford, CT Main Post Office into a new Postal Retail Store. The full scope of work consists of removal of asbestos-containing floor tiles, removal of lead-painted material and the partial interior demolition of the existing building. Plans and specifications will be available on or about October 10, 2000 for a cost of $50.00 per set. Only certified checks or money orders will be accepted, made payable to "Disbursing Officer, USPS." Mail the check or money order to the Facilities Service Office, attention, Catherine Delasco. The estimated cost of the work is between $600,000 and $800,000, with completion within 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed with the work. The architect is Mr. Peter Bolton of The Mead Group at (860) 521-0752.
