Description

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Programs, Center for Population, Health and Nutrition (PHN Center) seeks an organization to develop a U.S. cadre of field-experienced technical experts committed to careers in child survival and international health while enhancing the effectiveness of developing country health, nutrition and population programs. Through this program, junior and mid-level experts are identified, placed, backstopped, and supervised in field assignments that will contribute to the cross-sectoral, capacity building efforts of USAID and its partners, as well as to the career development and commitment of the experts themselves. USAID anticipates the award of a five year $54,000,000.00 "Health and Child Survival Fellows Program Cooperative Agreement" under its Data for Decision-Making II Results Framework. This award will be based on a full and open competition. The Request for Applications (RFA), when issued will provide the final information on the closing date. USAID intends to release the RFA on or about October 10, 2000. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WORD format). This CBD notice can be viewed and downloaded using the Agency Web Site. The RFA, once issued, can be downloaded from the Agency Web Site. The Worldwide Web address is http://www.usaid.gov.
