Description

Solicitation Notice: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Medical Center (FMC Devens), located in Ayer, Massachusetts, requires laboratory services for the inmate population. The Contractor will be required to furnish all necessary laboratory supplies, and all reports will remain property of FMC Devens. Specimens will be collected at FMC Devens and submitted to the contractor for processing as needed. The services will be performed at the contractor's laboratory. The contractor will provide shipment of supplies and courier services. The supplies will normally include any materials needed to perform the services under the contract. The courier services will include daily pickups Monday through Friday at a set schedule and upon demand by FMC Medical Staff. The project involves work inside the secure perimeter at the Federal Medical Center. The performance period will be the base year and four option years. The project is a small business set-aside, restricted to small businesses eligible to receive award. A security investigation/clearance is required. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award. The anticipated solicitation issue date is approximately 10/19/00.
