Note 1 The General Services Administration has a requirement for one or more contractors to provide maintenance, repair, and initial installation on police (vehicle) emergency equipment and radios. (A) Provide all labor, supervision, expertise, materials, subcontracting and equipment to design and provide 10 (ten)complete and functional marked and unmarked government furnished police and physical security specialist vehicles for operations by the Northern Field Operations Branch of the Pacific Rim Federal Protective Service. Work includes providing all hardware material, labor, and interfaces required to make the government furnished vehicles fully functional as required. Contract additionally includes installation and de-installation services for new and existing equipment necessary to convert Government Furnished vehicles from an acceptable level of service (e.g. service as specified for marked and unmarked police and physical security specialist vehicles in compliance with GSA order PBS P5930.17C, NHTSA regulations (Part 57), and CHP orders and directives/Title 49 Part 571. for the equipping and maintenance of police vehicles. (B) Contract additionally includes maintenance and repair services for "police equipment" as required for thirty five (35) vehicles for the period of one year. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposals will be issued on or about November 14, 2000. Term of Contract will be Base Year plus options to extend performance by two (two) additional one year periods.
