PART: US GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: SERVICES CLASSCOD: D- Information Technology Services, including Telecommunication services OFFADD: General Services Administration, GSA IT Acquisition Service Center, 1800 F Street, NW, Room 2024, Washington, DC 20405 SUBJECT: The establishment of the National Electronic and Information Technology Demonstration Center (NEITDC) SOL: TFL-00-0010 DUE: 103100 POC: Emil Loczko, Jr., Contracting Officer, (202) 219-0891 DESC: In 1998, Congress amended Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requiring access to electronic and information technology (EIT) in the Federal sector. Federal agencies must ensure that their EIT is accessible to individuals with disabilities who are Federal employees. Federal agencies are also required to ensure that information and data they provide to the public is accessible for individuals with disabilities. To ensure that Federal employers, employees, industry partners, and members of the general public have access to the widest spectrum of accessible EIT, the GSA and Dept. of Education are establishing the NEITDC.
