Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Code 4.5.8.2, St. Inigoes, MD has identified a requirement for the procurement of 88 DMC 121-2 High Gain SATCOM Antennas along with 22 Operations and Maintenance/Service Manuals on a firm fixed-price basis under RFP N00421-00-R-0514. The following minimum operational requirements shall apply: (1) Capable of being dismantled or collapsed and stored or transported in a case no longer than 36 inches nor wider than 12 inches, (2) Combined weight of all antenna components may not to exceed 25 pounds, (3) Antenna must be erectible or unfolded and set up by a single person in less than two minutes, (4) Antenna must cover the frequency range of 240-400 MHz, (5) Maximum Radio Frequency power handling capacity of 200 Watts, (6) Minimum gain of +8dBic in the frequency range of 240-318 MHz, and (7) circular polarization for directional radiation. The contract line item numbers and descriptions are CLIN 0001 DMC 121-2 High Gain SATCOM Antenna, 88 each, CLIN 0002 Operations and Maintenance/Service Manuals (Contractor format is acceptable), 22 each. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, NAWCAD, Bldg. 8115, Villa Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010; M/F: Robert Walsh, JBS(V)2B Systems 1-11. Inspection and acceptance shall also be made at destination. CLINs 0001 and 0002 shall be delivered within 120 days of contract award. Earlier, partial deliveries are acceptable; however they should be in increments of not less than 8 each of CLIN 0001 accompanied by 2 each of CLIN 0002. This procurement action will be processed under full and open competition. Basis for award of the resultant contract will be a based on a Technically acceptable, low price determination. It is the Government's intention to release the Request for Proposal (RFP), including any subsequent amendments via the Internet in Microsoft Word format. The anticipated release date of the RFP is the week 17 Oct 2000. A copy of the complete system specification and eventual RFP will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page located on the World Wide Web (WWW). The WWW server may be accessed using client browsers such as NETSCAPE and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
