Description

MK 125 MOD 2 RATO Motor Case The motor tube shall be manufactured from Condition "A" 4130 alloy steel in accordance with MIL-S-6758 for the head cap and 4130 alloy steel in accordance with AMS 6360 for the tube. The Motor tube shall withstand a hydrostatic proof test of 1825 25 PSIG for one (1) minute, no leakage or permanent deformation permitted. Procedure to be approved by procuring activity. After hydrotest, magnetic particle inspect both sides of weld (internal and external) in accordance with ASTM E 1444. Particle application shall be the wet continuous method with fluorescent particles. All items must meet the requirements of MIL-STD-1907, Grade A. Heat treat after welding in accordance with MIL-H-6875, Class A, 125,0000 to 150,000 PSI ultimate tensile strength. Welding shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-2219, Class A. Welding material shall conform to MIL-R-5632. Identification and marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-130. Coat threads with corrosion inhibitor per MIL-L-23398, type optional. After magnetic particle inspection, coat all surfaces, except for threads with zinc molybdate primer, TT-P-645.
