Description
DESC: DTCG87-00-B-643078 _ Modification to CBD notice issued July 24, 2000 -- Replace Carports at USCG ANACAPA Housing located at Petersburg, Alaska. The summary of work includes demolition _ Carport structures, foundation, pile caps, and related materials; electrical service from the existing housing; and site material necessary to accommodate new work. New work includes site grading with new materials, foundation piles, beams, decking, reinforcing, and concrete slab; carports, framing, siding, anchors, trusses, roof and related materials; new electrical supply wiring, boxes, fixtures, switches and related controls. All work shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000 dollars. The estimated time for completion of all contract work is 240 calendar days after notice of award. This procurement is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program, public law 100-656, as implemented by the OFPP Policy Directive and Test Plan dated 8/31/89. The Industrial Standard Code is #1542 and the applicable size standard is $27.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. Request for bid documents must be submitted and received by this office no later than October 13, 2000. Note that is notice is a modification to the initial CBD announcement issued July 24, 2000. For minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises; The Department of Transportation (DOT), Officer of Small Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee of the bid bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Leading Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide for accounts receivable. The maximum line of credit is $500,000 dollars.
