Description

The location of this project is at Davis Powerplant which is located on the Colorado River immediately downstream from Davis Dam near the town of Bullhead City, Arizona. This solicitation is unrestricted (that is, full and open competition). The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to furnish and install one new generator armature winding and reconditioning the exciter of the same unit. If the generator core tests negative, installation of a Government-furnished core will be required. This requirement will also include options for acquisition of up to two additional new generator armature windings and reconditioning of the exciter on the same units plus testing and possibly replacing Government furnished core. The Government contemplates a firm-fixed price contract type for the base and two option years. The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the Government taking into consideration the evaluation factors listed in the solicitation. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is October 25, 2000. The estimated date for receipt of offers is December 8, 2000. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 3621 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. There is a nonrefundable charge of $20 for each hard copy of the solicitation. You will receive a complete solicitation with the specifications and drawings.
