Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Navy Extremely High Frequency Program Office (NESP), PMW 176-5, is seeking comments on a draft statement of work for design concepts, engineering reports and execution documents for potential sources to develop and manufacture ship, submarine, and shore-based Navy Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) inboard satellite communications terminal equipment. Interested sources are asked to refer to the SPAWAR Business Opportunities (BOP) web page at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil for more details. Interested sources should respond to SPAWAR with their comments on the draft statement of work found at the SPAWAR BOP no later than 15 October 2000. Comments received after that date may not be incorporated into the Navy's decision analysis. SPAWAR anticipates that if there is sufficient interest and capability, it will competitively award up to three contracts with a period of performance not to exceed 8 months each with a total Not-to-Exceed value of $900,000.00. In addition, SPAWAR is considering whether to require contract awardees to participate in Integrated Product Teams lead by the Government for review and assessment on a draft AEHF terminal specification. This is a continuation of the Navy's efforts for executing the AEHF capability as synopsized on February 11, 2000 notice number 424631.
