Description

The U.S Customs Service (USCS) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Smiths Industries, Cheltenham, England to procure an Engine Instrumentation Display System (EIDS) to support the P-3 AEW aircraft retrofit/upgrade program. This EIDS will be supplied as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to the prime contractor to convert the existing electromechanical analog instrument display to a fully digital system. This system will be integrated with engine sensors and aircraft wiring to achieve a common avionics configuration baseline as previously established by the most recent USCS configuration (P-3 AEW #7 and #8). This contract will require the contractor to provide technical data, manuals and additional system spares. This contract action is subject to the availability of funds.
