- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, supplemented with information included in this notice. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses at FAR 52.213-4 Terms and Conditions -- Simplified Acquisitions (Other Than Commercial Items) (FEB 1998), and any others that are applicable and in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) and the Defense Acquisition Circular. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with all applicable clauses and provisions. No RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, award will be based on responsive, responsible, technically acceptable offers received in response to this CBD advertisement.. Competitive awards may be based on the evaluation criteria stipulated in the Red, Yellow, Green (RYG) Contractor Evaluation System. The evaluation criteria is available upon request. Specification for Items 1-3 Items should be identical with the exception of the center wavelength DFB Laser diode continuous wave (CW) WDM laser for external modulation 30mW optical output power. Description: These items are packaged telecom grade distributed feedback (DFB) laser diodes with an optical fiber pigtail. The lasers are intended for use in continuous wave (CW) mode with an external modulator. The minimum peak optical power output required is 30mW. The device must be packaged in a 14pin butterfly package. The laser must have an internal integrated optical isolator. The optical fiber pigtail should be a polarization maintaining (PM) optical fiber connectorized with an FC/PC connector. The connector should be keyed to the slow axis of the PM fiber. The module must also have an integrated thermoelectric cooler (TEC) and thermistor as well an integrated photodiode for monitoring the laser power emission. Specifications: Item 1 Center Wavelength = 1530.3nm or 195.9THz, Item 2 Center Wavelength = 1546.9nm or 193.8THz, Item 3 Center Wavelength = 1552.5nm or 193.ITHz.
