Description

The U.S Customs Service (USCS) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Palomar Products Inc., Rancho Santa Margarita, California for the upgrade of existing intercommunication equipment as part of the P-3 AEW aircraft retrofit/upgrade program. This equipment will be supplied as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to Palomar Products for modification to the current USCS configuration. The prime contractor will integrate this modified GFE with a communication suite that includes VHF, UHF, SATCOM and HF radio systems to achieve a common avionics configuration baseline as previously established by the most recent USCS configuration (P-3 AEW #7 and #8). This contract will require the contractor to provide technical data, manuals and additional system spares. This contract action is subject to the availability of funds.
