- ISSUE DATE: 10/16/00. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for installing an industrial air exchanger at US Coast Guard Buoy Depot, ISD South Weymouth, South Weymouth, Massachusetts (Norfolk County). Work includes, but is not limited to, installing a large roof mounted exhaust fan (25,000 CFM) and exhaust duct system, installing ductwork on an existing heating/ventilation unit, modifying the existing Heating/Ventilator control system and incidental related work. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. NAICS code is 235110 (plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractors). Solicitation packages to be available on 10/16/00. The due date for receipt of quotations is scheduled for 11/16/00 at close of business. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
