Description

Restore Historic Courtrooms, Levin U.S. Courthouse, Detroit, Michigan. Contract completion is (180) calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following items of work: The Project consists of a base contract with three options. The base scope of work includes the replacement of the existing surface mounted fluorescent light fixtures and adhered acoustical ceiling tile at the seventh floor Historic Courtroom 732-734. Option No. 1 includes the restoration of the ceiling and lighting for Courtrooms 859-860 and 861-862. Option No. 2 includes the cleaning of all the existing marble walls in Historic Courtroom 732-734. Option No. 3 includes restoration of damaged ceiling areas and upgrade of lighting for Courtroom 857-858. The building will be occupied during construction. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1542. The Small Business Size Standard for 1542 has increased from $17.0 million to $27.5 million (Note: $27.5 million was in the original solicitation. No need for an amendment). The estimated cost range for this project is between $500,000 and $750,000. GSA is issuing this solicitation electronically only. Interested parties may access the solicitation via the Electronic Posting System (EPS), http://www.eps.gov, on or about August 7, 2000. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and drawings. It is also the offerors responsibility to monitor the site for possible amendments and/or additional information.
