Description

The VA Network Business Center seeks Request for Quotation for a Firm Fixed Price (Commercial Item FAR Part 12)sole source contract with Pentax Corporation, Orangeburg, NY under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The Endopro Workstation Dell Dimension XPS-T Midtower, Dell Pentium III, 800 MHZ, w/512K Cache, 128 MB 100 MHZ SDRAM, 20.4GB Hard Drive, 1.44MB Floppy Drive, 48X max variable CD-ROM drive, 16MB ATI Rage 128 PRO Video, 17" Dell Monitor (16" viewable), Windows 95, second edition, 56K Internal Modem to support remote maintenance service, quitekey keyboard, Microsoft Intellimouse, and accessories. This is to include 3 years next business day on-site parts and labor. The government requires firm F.O.B. destination. The proposed contract action is for equipment for which the Government intents to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
