Description

The VISN 22 Network Business Center hereby gives notice of its intent to issue a sole source contract under the simplified acquisition procedure to AB Dick to provide maintenance services on the following Government-owned equipment located at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center, 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357: (1) PFA Perfection Printing Press, Model ITEK No. 975; (2) Electrostatic Camera, Model No. ITEK 615; (3) Station Collator, Model No. 9015; and (4) Baumfolder Folding Machine, Model No. 714B-2. AB Dick is the manufacturer of the printing press, camera and collator, and is the sole distributor of the folding machine. Software and instrument upgrades that are made available during the term of the contract shall be provided to the Government at no additional cost. The resulting contract will be effective for one base year, with the Government having the option to extend the contract for two additional one-year option periods. There is no solicitation document; prospective contractors should submit cost and technical data to be evaluated. Interested firms must indicate their ability to satisfy the requirement within fourteen days of this notice. Interested firms will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation that they are capable of meeting or exceeding the requirement stated herein at a cost sufficiently more advantageous than the contractor named.
