- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice the announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The request for quote, RFQ-00044-JR and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-19. The SIC Code is 3826, 500. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to purchase the following on a brand name or equivalent basis: one (1) each Automated Extractor System, eight place, Horizon Technology model 4790-08 or equivalent, including a controller, 8 x 4790 extractors, liquid handling kit, solvent and water waste system, 5 gallon plastic coat bottle, and proper solvent manifold configuration; 8 each Disk Holder for 47mm Disk, 3000 extractor, P/N: 165-0047 or equivalent; 8 each Disk Holder for 90mm Disk, 3000 extractor, P/N: 165-090 or equivalent; 8 each Cap adapters for sample bottles; 8 each 19/22 adapter for 40 ml VOA Vessels, P/N: 160-0001 or equivalent; 8 each 125 ml, 19/22 taper, Erlenmeyer Flask, P/N: 27-0476 or equivalent; and, training and installation. This equipment shall be fully automated; shall be able to control multiple units simultaneously; shall be able to accommodate a combination of 47 mm and 90 mm filters; shall automatically rinse the sample container with programmable multiple extraction solvents along with a purge function; shall be able to employ a drying agent to remove residual water from extracts; shall be able to segregate organic and aqueous wastes; shall be bench top size able to fit into an existing fume hood 6' x 2.5'; and shall have PTFE valves and tubing, HPLC grade check valves to minimize contamination. Delivery shall be 60 days ARO, FOB Destination, Fort Meade, MD. The following FAR provisions apply: 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5. Prospective vendors shall submit a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, with their quote. Offerors submitting a quote on an equivalent product must submit technical literature so that an adequate technical evaluation may be performed. SEE NUMBERED Note 1.
