Original Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items is hereby amended in order to address the following questions and the answers to them. The questions are listed and followed by the answers in brackets. 1)What level of ortho-accuracy is required for this imagery. [1:63,360 USGS topographic maps] 2)What control data will be provided by FWS, in order to orthorectify the images? [See answer to #1] 3)What percentage of cloud cover in the imagery is acceptable? [<5%] 4)The stated delivery data is September 30, 2001, is this date correct? [No, delivery date should be March 31, 2001] 5)What is the end product (orthorectified satellite imagery) going to be used for? [Component of vegetative/habitat cover mapping project.] If it is for vegetation, why the orthorectification? [ Need to be able to relate imagery to on ground features; also NWI maps contain base begetative data that is based on topo maps.] How accurate a map are you looking for an what is it's purpose? [The highest detail possible given the limited ortho correction data to develop base vegetation/habitat cover map for the Kodiak NWR.] 6)What is the use of the data? [Habitat-vetetative Cover Map] 7)Do you want full quad coverage or just land areas?[Land] 8)What is the allowable percentage of cloud cover?[<5%] 9)What is the required spatial accuracy level?[5 Meter] 10)Is natural color only or Color IR OK? [Natural Color] 11)What image format do you want(geo TIFF,MrSID, USGS,)? [geoTIFF] 12)What are the final products you require?[CD with the 48 -- 1:63,360 U.S.G.S. topographic quadrangles identified which should be meter solution, orthorectified, in natural color, and in a geoTIFF digital file format.] 13)What are the resource material, satellite imagery or photograph, colour or black and white, and what is the resolution requirement? [Satellite imagery.] 14)Should the contractor provide all the resource materials themselves? [Yes] If so, for satellite imagery, what is the tolerant level of cloud cover? [<5%] 15)Are 48 topographic quadrangle maps connected together?[Yes] How big is the total area? [Approximately 500 sq. miles] Could ;you provide a sketch for the area? [Yes, map of archipelago.] 16)A Canadian company inquired if they were allowed to bid?
