Description
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center (MWEAC), Bluemont, VA, intends to negotiate with Redcom Laboratories, Inc., for the purchase of two each: Redcom IGX with Ethernet, Database, for eight analog phone lines; IGX Standard shelf with VAC, 50-60 HZ to include MSU controller board with Ethernet, two RS232C links, ETS with tone plant, conference, DTMF RV/TX (4 CCTS/Board); Line Boards (8 CCTS/Board); Conference Board (1) 16 party conference/board; Ringing Generators; Cable Trays; PCM/CIA Card (data backup); and one Controller MSU/Controller Board with Ethernet and two RS232C Links in support of FEMA's mission requirement to communicate over secure telephone lines from either a field office or office location, meeting the security specifications outlined by the National Security Agency. A market survey has been performed by the Program Office and a determination was made that the conferencing switches offer the best value to the Government and best meet the specific needs of FEMA. The conferencing switches are to be delivered, installed and tested at FEMA in Thomasville, GA. In addition, the conferencing switches are considered to be commercial items in nature. Interested persons may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required product, to include descriptive literature for their proposed product AND pricing. Responses must be received 10 calendar days from date of publication of this announcement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
