Description

The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Contracting Flight anticipates issuance of a solicitation and negotiating on a sole source basis with Rockwell Collins Government Systems (Rockwell Collins), Cedar Rapids, Iowa to acquire updates to its Desktop Flight Management System/Flight Display System Trainers for the USAF C-9 user community. Effort will include update of the Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, installation of DR-200 data receptacles and PCMCIA data cartridges, and the update of associated drawings. As the designer, developer and manufacturer of the Flight Management System 800 already installed on the aircraft, only Rockwell Collins has the requisite knowledge, experience and technical data required to successfully complete and program the trainers without compromise to the training provided and without causing unacceptable delays in meeting the Air Force's operational requirements.
