Description

The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a requirement to procure occupational health and safety consulting services on a competitive basis to develop, direct, operate and maintain a medical surveillance program in compliance with OSHA standards for Volpe Center employees engaged in hazardous waste operations. This requirement will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition procedures, FAR Part 13. This requirement shall include program development, initial baseline examinations, and execution of the Medical Surveillance Program for a period of 1 year with the option to extend the purchase order to include execution of the Medical Surveillance Program for 2 additional option years. The contractor will be required to develop a medical surveillance program in com pliance with OSHA regulations, executing and administering the medical surveillance program and maintain employee medical records and ensure confidentiality of these records. Small Business firms classified under SIC Code 9431 that are interested in proposing on this requirement must register in accordance with instructions cited below. RFQ issuance will be on or about September 18, 2000. No telephone requests will be accepted. A detailed statement of work will be set forth in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the Internet; these documents will be available in text format and reside on a WWW server, which may be accessed using Web browsers.
