- Description
- The Department of Energy, Chicago Operations Office (DOE-CH), is soliciting to acquire Information Technology (IT) Services to support the DOE-CH Divisions/Offices located primarily at the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) site, Argonne, Illinois. This project will involve a wide range of information technology disciplines necessary to provide support services for the Chicago Operations Office. The comprehensive CH business-computing environment requires an IT Support Services contractor to operate and monitor the current systems, as well as plan and implement new systems and upgrades to support changing business needs. The services needed include support in the following areas: Strategic Planning and Architecture, Information Systems Development, Network Systems Engineering and Cyber Security, Systems Integration and Configuration Management, and Desktop/WAN Production (Operations, Help Desk, Maintenance). The Government, through issuance of Task Orders, will direct specific work effort. A cost-reimbursement, level-of-effort, task order contract with fixed billable hourly labor rates and performance-based award fee provisions is contemplated. The anticipated period of performance will consist of an initial base period of one year with four available one-year option periods for a total of five years. It is anticipated that 26 full time personnel or approximately 48,360 total direct productive labor-hours of effort will be required per year. The Government reserves the right to make no awards. DATES: The solicitation will be available on or about September 22, 2000. Proposals are estimated to be due on or about October 23, 2000. Award is anticipated by February 1, 2001. Proposals in response to this Solicitation must be submitted to the U. S. Department of Energy, Chicago Operations Office, Communications Center, Building 201, Room 168, 9800 South Cass Avenue, Argonne, IL 60439-4899, ATTN: Carla V. Harper, Acquisition and Assistance Group. ELIGIBILITY: This solicitation is 100 percent set-aside for award to a small, disadvantaged business, eligible under the Small Business Administration's Section 8(a) Program referred to as an 8(a) concern. The Standard Industrial Code for this acquisition is 7379. Eligible businesses must possess an in-depth knowledge of information technology systems, software and network management.
