Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center has been tasked by Naval Sea Systems Command to develop automatic steering and diving S&D vertical ascent and decent, and variable ballast and seaway estimation algorithms for SEAWOLF and VIRGINIA class submarines. For these unique services, the Government has decided to solicit and negotiate with only one contractor under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Spitfire technologies, Dr.R. Kim has been involved in the design and development of automatic control and estimation algorithms on Navy Submarines for more than 15 years. He has unique knowledge of Submarine steering and diving capabilities and methods for improvement. Interested parties may submit a statement of capabilities within 15 calendar days from the date of this notice. (see numbered Note 22)
