Description

This is Amendment 0001 to combined synopsis/solicitation DAAD16-00-T-1141, for commercially available Concealable Stab Protective Body Armor (CSPBA) which was advertised on August 16, 2000. Incorporate the following changes. (1) Extend the Request for Quote (RFQ) closing date until 9/15/2000. (2) Change the color number of the CSPBA carrier to Tan, similar to #33446 per Federal Standard 595A. (3) Incorporate Clause No. 252.225-7012 PREFERENCE FOR CERTAIN DOMESTIC COMMODITIES, and 252.225-7014 PREFERENCE FOR DOMESTIC SPECIALTY METALS. (4) Change Optional CLIN 0002 to read: Optional CLIN 0002AA for 1,000 CSPBA Optional Vests, and 0002AB for 1,000 Optional Additional Carriers. (5) The following data will not be considered part of the fifteen (15) page limit for the written Technical Proposal: Ballistic Test Reports, Ballistic Certification Documents, Stab Test Reports, Material Safety Data Sheets, Certificates of Compliance, and any other supporting documentation. (6) Proposal submission shall consist of two volumes. Technical and Warranty shall be in one volume with two severable sections (Submit original and 7 copies). Past Performance and Price shall be a second volume with two severable sections (Submit original and 2 copies). (7) Change the Evaluation Factors to read: The Technical area is greater in importance than the Price Area, which is slightly more important than the Warranty area which is slightly more important than the Past Performance area. All evaluation areas other than price, when combined, are approximately equal to price. (8) Responses to technical questions will contained in Amendment 0002, which will be issued no later than September 5, 2000.
