The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Teradyne, Inc. for the following items: 0001 -- Provide on-site maintenance services for government-owned VLSI Module Test System, "Teradyne" Model No. L-397 located at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Building No. 683, Naval Submarine Base, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Qty: 4 QTR; Period of Performance: Base period: 01 October 2000 thru 30 September 2001; plus four option periods: 01 Oct 01 thru 30 Sep 02; 01 Oct 02 thru 30 Sep 03; 01 Oct 03 thru 30 Sep 04; 01 Oct 04 thru 30 Sep 05. Option to Extend Services is to be part of the resulting contract. Teradyne, Inc. is the only known source with the necessary data to provide hardware and software maintenance. The FSC Code is J066. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement is 7629 and $5 MIL respectively. FAR Part 13.5 applies. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database, (CCR), to be eligible for Department of Defense contract awards.
