E-MAIL: National Park Service, Dianne_Mitchell@nps.gov. Contractor shall produce a Historic Resource Study for the Cape Lookout National Seashore. The Historic Resource Study will contain historic contexts with sufficient historical background information to identify and evaluate extant structures that are more than fifty years old. Below-ground archeological resources will not be evalutated by the Historic Resource Study. At present 74 structures have been identified at Cape Lookout National Seashore. Most of the strucutres are in the following locations: (1)Portsmouth Village, a historic maritime settlement with houses and a church; (2) Cape Lookout Light Station and Coast Guard Station; and (3) Cape Lookout Village, a collection of modest resort houses on the site of a former commercial old fishing community.
