CBD NOTICE FOR CONCRETE WORK WHICH HAS SAFETY & TIME CONSTRAINTS CBD presolicitation notice was electronically submitted on August 23, 2000. Solicitation 00SP100814, Roza Wasteway Chute No. 2. This requirement involves sawcutting and removing existing concrete and patching same on a wasteway chute which is on an extreme angle. This work not only involves a multitude of safety issues but also some very limited time constraints. The CBD notice is as follows: Pre-Solicitation Notice for Solicitation No. 00SP100814 will be available August 24, 2000. We will issue the solicitation on or about September 7, 2000. The estimated price range of the work is between $100,000 and $250,000. Copies of the solicitation will be provided in CD-ROM format at no charge for the first copy and $15.00 each (nonrefundable) for each additional copy requested. The principal components of the work include: Sawcutting, demolishing, and removing existing reinforced concrete; Earthwork for and making repairs to existing reinforced concrete, including epoxy bonded concrete and concrete sealing compounds; Earthwork for and construction of subsurface drains. At this time we anticipate issuing a Request for Proposal, however, we reserve the right to solicit under sealed bid procedures, if we determine it necessary. We'll evaluate and award based on the best value to the Government with, minimally, the following evaluation criteria: safety program; past performance; experience; and price ( actual evaluation factors will be addressed in the solicitation package under Section L and M).
