the synopsis/solicitation for "PURCHASE AND INSTALL AN LP GAS SYSTEM,
FIRE SIMULATOR FOR THE NEW FIREFIGHTING TRAINING FACILITY" posted on
the CBDNet on 31Jul00 and issued in the CBD on 02Aug00. This is a
combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format described in FAR Subpart 12.6 as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP),
F19650-00-R-0018. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses
are those in effect through FAC 97-19 dated July 26, 2000. This
acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The Standard
Industrial Code (SIC) is 4925 and the small business standard is $5.0
mil. The procurement is to purchase and install an LP gas system and
mockup for the new metal training facility for the Fire Department
being purchased under number F19650-00-R-0017. There is also an option
item for Fire Trainer Rollover Effect. The fire simulator package
includes the following: CLIN 0001, 1 EACH, Installation, Control Panel,
Valve Compartment, Ventilation System, Smoke System, Safety Systems and
one (1) Mockup; CLIN 0002, 1 EACH, Shipping and Miscellaneous Charges.
Option CLIN 0003, 1 EACH, Fire Trainer Rollover Effect. The Government
reserves the right to exercise or not to exercise the Option CLIN.
Contractors responding to this solicitation shall provide pricing on
ALL of the CLINS. Proposals that do not provide prices for all of the
CLINS will not be considered. The following provisions and clauses
apply to this procurement: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial, FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (the
specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) is
"Technical Capability of the Item", "Price" and "Quality", FAR

(all offerors shall include a completed copy of this provision with
their quotation), FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive
Orders-Commercial Items (in paragraph (b) the following clauses apply:

Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of
Commercial Items (in paragraph (b) the following clause applies: DFARS
