0001 to the subject combined CBD synopsis/solicitation posted in the
CBD net on 17 Aug 2000 (synopsis # 487218) to include the responses to
the questions below. Offerors shall consider this amendment in their
proposal. Date for submission of offers is extended from 25 Aug 2000 to
28 Aug 2000, 0900 hours, CET. Note "Q" stands for question and "R" for
response. Q1- What are the minimum aircraft technical/performance
capabilities? a. Minimum Endurance? R- 6 HOURS; b. Minimum Cruise
Speed? R-150kts c. FAA Certification for Flight Into Known Icing
Conditions? R- REQUIRED, THIS IS VERY NECESSARY. Q2- What are the
minimum surveillance equipment/technical capabilities? R2- EO (color
Day Camera); FLIR -- both EO & FLIR must provide one meter resolution
at a 5000m slant range, must also include GPS stamping to indicate
aircraft/target position; Digital Framing Camera; Laser Illuminator;
Real-time video down-link to a ground station at a minimum 50nm range.
Q3- Please state the type of fuel to be provided by the Government.
R3- 100LL (BLUE) OR 100/130 (GREEN) Q4- Do you have a specific beddown
location for the aircraft? R4- Nothing specific, but the aircraft will
beddown in one of the following locations: Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina;
Taszar, Hungary; Skopje, Macedonia. Q5- Do you have a minimum
requirement on the type sensors installed in the aircraft? R5- EO
(color Day Camera); FLIR -- both EO & FLIR must provide one meter
resolution at a 5000m slant range, must also include GPS stamping to
indicate aircraft/target position; Digital Framing Camera; Laser
Illuminator; Real-time video down-link to a ground station at a minimum
50nm range. Q6- Will this be a 24 /7 operational requirement --
requiring more than one crew, or will missions be run on a set
schedule? R6- The possibility exists for a 24hr, continuous
surveillance mission, so two crews would be necessary. Q7- What is the
minimum required flight endurance without refueling? R7- Minimum
