Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, CA 93437 intends to issue a sole source
contract to MCSI-Minnesota Western. Contractor will provide all tools,
parts, labor, materials, facilities, transportation, and supervision
necessary to upgrade a sound system. Please refer to attachment 1 for
item descriptions of the necessary components to upgrade the existing
sound system. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The
solicitation number is F04684-00-T0949 and will be issued as a request
for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
(FAC) 97-18. All applicable provisions and clauses are included. The
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), which will
replace SIC as of 01 Oct 00, is 811212. The Standard Industrial Code
(SIC), which will no longer be used after 30 Sep 00, is 7378. The
proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the
Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under
the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their
interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit
proposals. The Government will consider all proposals received by
closing date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to
compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received
may be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to
conduct a competitive procurement. Questions will be taken no later
than 4:00 p.m. on 1 Sep 00. Offers are due no later than 4:00 p.m. on
5 Sep 00 with all quotes being valid for 60 days. All quotes will be to
