This Request for Proposals is being issued for exterior masonry stabilization & repairs (Phase IIB) to the National Park Service Visitor Center, New Bedford Institute for Savings Bank Building at the New Bedford Whaling National Historic Park, New Bedford, Massachusetts. The primary work is brownstone stabilization and repair and includes: Selective demolition, injection repair of cracks, patching of brownstone, selective replacement of brownstone unit masonry, selective raking & repointing of brownstone mortar joints, selective raking & repointing of granite mortar joints, selective raking & repointing of brick mortar joints, masonry cleaning, installation of metal flashing and sheet metal. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. A single award will be made. Award to be based on a combination of cost and technical factors. Proposals will be due 30 days from issuance of the Request for Proposal.
