synopsis/solicitation for commercial items as prepared in accordance
with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6,
as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are
being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. For
reference purposes only, the solicitation number for this Request for
Quotation is DAAH23-00-Q-1954. This solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-19. The applicable Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code is 3825 and small business size standard is
500 employees. This requirement consists of Contract Line Item (CLIN)
0001AA, for fifty-four (54) each Aviation Vibration Analyzer (AVA)
Critical Frequency Accelerometer Tester, Signal Processing System Part
Number 29712600, for the CH-47 helicopter. The proposed acquisition is
sole source to Signal Processing Systems, a division of Smith
Industries Aerospace, 13112 Evening Creek Drive South, San Diego, CA
92128-4199. Required delivery date is 180 days after contract award.
Packaging of items shall be in accordance with best commercial
practices. Inspection, acceptance and FOB points are at origin. The
