G -- THERAPEUTIC FOSTER CARE SERVICES SOL CFSA-00-R-0001-SD POC Selwyn Darbeau -- 202.727.7089 The District of Columbia Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is soliciting proposals from qualified sources to provide therapeutic foster care to neglected, abused and/or abandoned children. These children have a broad range of characteristics such as emotional problems, behavioral problems, psychiatric and/or psychological problems and educational problems. The RFP is for full case responsibility therapeutic foster care services to approximately five hundred (500) children, ranging from six (6) to twenty-one (21) years of age. The Agency's requirement is for twenty-four hour, seven days a week crisis intervention and emergency response services to children, preventing disruption of placements and potential removal of a child from a foster home. While the request is designed for an open market solicitation, local disadvantaged, women and/or minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond. CFSA intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the services in the near future. Approximately seven (7) to ten (10) days after it's release a pre-proposal conference will be scheduled at a location and time to be determined at a later date and referenced in the RFP.
